The letter forms part of a collection of about 40 hand-copied \n letters by “al-Shaykh” b. al-Ṭāhir, all written between 1324-47: 1923-30 \n (i.e., the year of his death), and kept by his youngest (and only \n surviving) son, Muḥammad Aḥmad (b. c. 1925) in Matātēb (Gāsh delta). The \n letter was photographed by Albrecht Hofheinz in Matātēb al-Sarāyā, 2 March \n 1987.";
